The song title is taken from a verse of the song LA Song by Christian Kane, sung in the episode 2x18 fic to which this refers.
Table: TABLE
Angel, near the counter of the restaurant, Lindsey stared on stage, unable to believe that the devil that lawyer could sing so well, have a voice so warm and sing a song so beautiful.
Cordelia, Gunn and Wesley also seemed fascinated by his voice and the vampire tried to conceal his confusion, making fun of how he was able to sing as well. White lie, because it was more of an old bell out of tune.
Pretty as a picture
She is like a golden ring
Circles me with love and laughter
I can not feel a thing
The sky's gonna open
People gonna pray and crawl
It's gonna rain down fire
It's gonna burn us all
Those two verses really struck Angel, it was as if we show a different part of Lindsey that, honestly, was not prepared to see. It was easier to consider be a ruthless, a man who was acting only for his own benefit or that of its leaders. But now we read something sad in those words, a desire for love, despite being unable to prove this, and the knowledge that they were all destined for hell.
With his astonishment, he found himself almost feel sorry for him.
When Lindsey came down from the stage and stopped to talk to Lorne, the vampire listened to their words, seeing the shock on his face when his lawyer friend told him that Green had to work together.
Neither of them liked, they were hated for a long time to collaborate as if nothing had happened.
Yet this time there was something different in the eyes of Lindsey, was felt as if infected, desperate, and looking for a cure.
not spared and bad puns, as usual, but when Lindsey turned away from them, Angel could not help but reach the exit of the room.
"Where are you going? I thought we worked together, "said the lawyer approaching vampire.
Lindsey's blue eyes peered at the bottom, narrowing with small steps nervous, as he usually did when he was angry.
"Neither do you want it, do not pretend that you care something about me."
"I do not pretend I do not care about you in fact. And 'work, that's all. "
Lindsey made a grin and shook his head, lowering it to look at the shoes.
"Touché," he murmured almost amused.
"Do not take it bad. You know ... I am not fond serve evil, the dark side. "
" Evil is a point of view, "said Lindsey Angel eyes staring back. "You should know yourself, you've justified by years of massacres of innocent people. Or wrong, Angelus? "
Angel remained silent to return the gaze, wondering why, despite everything, still had not killed that person.
"As I suspected," said the lawyer, mentioned by one of his smiles, so fast that sometimes we wondered if it really had done it or it was all an illusion.
"I'm not like you," Angel murmured in a tone of tense.
"No, true. You have a soul now. I think instead of losing it. But we will still all be the same. It's gonna burn us all ".
