Simferopol, February 28 (New Region, Eugene Andreev) - Today in Simferopol, Crimea Court of Appeals ruled penalty activists of the Popular Front "Sevastopol-Crimea-Russia", which stand for the reunification of the peninsula with Russia.
Against Seeds Klyuev and Valeria Podyachikh earlier SBU opened a criminal case on charges of endangering the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Today they are found guilty and sentenced to 3 years imprisonment with a suspended sentence - 1 year.
Now for any 2 administrative offenses (for example, charges for violations of traffic rules) Klyuev and Podyachikh can be sent to prison.
Judge Yuri Dideev read out a sentence longer than one hour. He did not agree with any of the defense case.
It should be noted that the prosecutor had demanded a tougher sentence - 4 years.
